Word on the street is that Katy Perry will star as Marilyn Monroe on Broadway in the near future. Harvey Weinstein recently told E! that he plans to develop a Broadway musical based on My Week With Marilyn, and he wants Katy to play the lead role. Personally, I think that there’s only one Marilyn, and no one else can ever be her. Katy’s a pretty talented lady though — she doesn’t strike me as Marilyn, but I reckon she can pull it off, no?
